Born in Erechim, Brazil, to parents of Italian and Polish descent, Alessandra Ambrosio nurtured her desire to become a model from a young age. She emerged into the international modeling world as a part of the Brazilian invasion in the late ’90s. Best known as one of the longest-reigning Victoria’s Secret Angels, Alessandra launched her career as the first ambassador for the Victoria’s Secret Pink collection and continued working with the brand for 17 years.

Alessandra has been the face and global brand ambassador for fashion and beauty brands including Balmain, Calvin Klein, Omega, Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Revlon, Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta, and Ralph Lauren. Throughout her career, she has walked in runway shows for some of the biggest names in fashion, such as Marc Jacobs, Prada, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, and Louis Vuitton. She has graced the covers of hundreds of international magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, GQ, Elle, and Rolling Stone.

In addition to her distinguished career in the fashion industry, Alessandra has also made multiple cameos in films and TV shows including Casino Royale, Daddy’s Home, Daddy’s Home 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, “Entourage,” “New Girl,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Gossip Girl,” and Brazilian show “Hidden Truths”.

In 2019, she launched GAL Floripa, a lifestyle brand aimed to inspire women to embrace their femininity. Alessandra is an ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and often appears in their public service ads. In addition to working with MS Society, Alessandra is also passionate about environmental causes, particularly ocean conservation.

While maintaining an illustrious career in front of the cameras and beyond, Alessandra is also a devoted mother to her daughter Anja and son Noah.
